Kluivert is the head of youth development at Barcelona and is delighted to be working closely with his fellow Dutchman at the club.
He told De Telegraaf, “I am very happy for Ronald. It’s his dream come true. I think it’s fantastic for him and for Barça.
“With his qualities I think Ronald will be in the right place at Barça. He knows the club, the philosophy and knows what is going on. I think his arrival is very positive.”
Koeman leaves the Netherlands without a coach, but Kluivert believes the KNVB will appoint the right replacement, “Koeman will of course leave a huge gap at Oranje. Although I assume that this will be filled well by the KNVB.”
Blaugrana is one of the few teams in Europe that plays maximum number of football matches in a calendar year. Ronald will have 38 La Liga encounters, another 20 or more in Copa del Rey, Champions League, etc. So sixty or more official encounters in a year is far more than as Bondscoach of any national football federation. Blessed with immense stamina and awesome hunger, Ronald Koeman will do justice to his enormous potential. All the best.
