The former Barcelona and Netherlands striker was previously a technical consultant for Curacao, which involved him taking charge of the Caribbean nations 2018 World Cup qualifiers. However the 39-year-old left after they were knocked out by El Salvador last year.
On Monday, the nations football association confirmed that Kluivert had agreed to return as a head coach, and his first game in charge will come in March as they face Barbados in the Caribbean cup.
It is Kluivert’s first full position as a head coach, having been an assistant to Louis van Gaal for the Netherlands national team at the 2014 World Cup.
