Reports in England on Sunday morning linked with the 18-year-old with a move to Old Trafford in the summer. Manchester United were reportedly close to agreeing a £10 million fee for the Dutch U21 international.
However, speaking to Voetbal Inside after Ajax’s win over NAC Breda, Kluivert shut down the rumours.
He said when asked about a move to Manchester, “Not that I know, I did not speak to Mourinho myself. Stories are always around, but what’s true … I know as much as you do, how likely I am to leave? that opportunity is not very big, I really know nothing.
“I opened my phone this morning and saw all those crazy pictures. Rumors, rumors..These are always there, but Manchester United has never come up and I think that is not a logical step.”
Justin must stay at Ajax for some more seasons. Don’t follow the path of depay and jaanssen. After some seasons he could play for even much bigger clubs.
