The concept draft of fixtures for the 2019/2020 Eredivisie season were revealed on Friday night.

The season will get underway on the 2nd of August with PEC Zwolle hosting Willem II. Holders Ajax begin away to Vitesse on the Saturday, while PSV Eindhoven are at newly promoted FC Twente.

The KNVB were hoping to have 18 games kick-off at 7pm on Sunday evenings but after consulting with clubs and local authorities they have realised this is not possible and only a handful of matches will be played at this time.

The full first weekend is:

Friday 2nd of August: PEC Zwolle v Willem II (19.00pm)

Saturday 3rd of August: Vitesse v Ajax (17.30pm), Emmen v Groningen (17.30pm), Twente v PSV (19.45pm), VVV Venlo v RKC Waalwijk (19.45pm)

Sunday 4th of August: Heracles v Heerenveen (11.15am), ADO Den Haag v Utrecht (13.30pm), Feyenoord v Sparta Rotterdam (13.30pm), AZ Alkmaar v Fortuna Sittard (15.45pm)
