Den Bosch 0-2 Ajax

Ajax ended their winless run with a 2-0 victory over Keuken Kampioen Divisie side Den Bosch.

Gerónimo Rulli, Kian Fitz-Jim and Lorenzo Lucca all made their first starts for Ajax with illness ruling out a number of key players.

In the 20th minute, Kenneth Taylor was brought down and Dusan Tadic made it 1-0 from the spot. In the second half, Tadic set up Taylor to double the lead.

In the final phase of the match, sixteen-year-old Jorrel Hato was handed his debut as Ajax eased to victory.

Excelsior 1-4 AZ Alkmaar

AZ Alkmaar eased into the next round with a comfortable win over Excelsior.

Peer Koopmeiners made his first Excelsior appearance against his parent club, while Dani de Wit returned to the AZ line-up.

Jens Odgaard opened the scoring for AZ in the 13th minute but Reda Kharchouch equalised just after the half hour mark. De Wit quickly restored the AZ lead before Jesper Karlsson made it 3-1 before the break.

In the second half, Vangelis Pavlidis scored an excellent goal to seal AZ Alkmaar’s comfortable passage to the next round.

De Treffers 1-0 Cambuur
