Feyenoord has qualified for the quarter-finals of the KNVB Cup after a 3-2 win over Heracles Almelo.

Dick Advocaat was able to welcome back Orkun Kokcu into the starting line-up, while Lucas Pratto was preferred to Nicolai Jorgensen. Sinan Bakis did not start for Heracles as Luca de La Torre began up front.

Heracles had the better chances from the start and they eventually had the lead in the 35th minute with Delano Burgzorg rounding Nick Marsman before slotting into the net.

Just before the break, Feyenoord equalised with the ball falling for Luis Sinisterra in the box and the winger found the net.

At half-time, Advocaat brought on Bryan Linssen and Ridgeciano Haps for Pratto and Kökçü. The changes had an impact with Linssen making it 2-1 after being put through by Sinisterra.

Lutsharel Geertruida then headed Feyenoord further in front before Adrian Szöke pulled one back in stoppage time.

Feyenoord, who reached the final last time out before the tournament was cancelled, have now reached the last eight.
