The first round of the KNVB Cup got underway on Monday with two games. Excelsior and Go Ahead Eagles have progressed to the next round.

Excelsior 4-0 Helmond Sport
Excelsior won the early clash on Monday, seeing off fellow Keuken Kampioen Divisie side Helmond Sport.
After 26 minutes, Reuven Niemeijer opened the scoring before Elias Mar Omarsson doubled the lead before the break.
In the second half, Omarsson added the third before Joel Zwarts completed the rout.
Go Ahead Eagles 6-0 NAC Breda
Go Ahead Eagles eased into the next round after scoring five goals in the opening 20 minutes.
NAC Breda were without a number of first choice players and it showed as Go Ahead Eagles raced into the lead. Sam Beukema, Sam Hendriks, Zakaria Eddahchouri, Jeroen Veldmate, and Luuk Brouwers all scored within the first 20 minutes.
A monster scoreline seemed in the making but only one further goal was added in the 48th minute through Antoine Rabillard.
