The second round of the KNVB Cup started on Tuesday with seventeen matches taking place. Below is a round up of all the results.

The big story of the night unfolded at the Sportpark de Watering as Amateur side SC Genemuiden knocked out Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag on penalties. The game was an extraordinary one with the home side coming back from 2-0 down to force extra time after Mike Havenaar and Kenji Gorre put ADO Den Haag in control. Van der Kooy was then sent off for Genemuiden in extra time, but that didn’t stop the 10-men from taking the lead before Marengo saved ADO Den Haag with an equaliser in the 120th minute. Gorre, Zuiverloon and Jansen all missed their penalties for ADO Den Haag as Genemuiden sealed a famous win.
The only all Eredivisie clash of the night saw PSV scrape past Cambuur 3-2 in Eindhoven. The Eredivisie champions were 2-0 up at half time following a Jurgen Locadia strike and an own goal, but Bartholomew Ogbeche scored twice early in the second half to level it up . PSV were then awarded a penalty for a foul on Luuk de Jong, who picked himself up to fire the Eindhoven club into the next round.
FC Lienden caused a big upset as they beat Eerste Divisie leaders Volendam 1-0. Guiliano Grot was the hero for the Amateur side with a first half goal.
NEC Nijmegen made light work of amateur side Noordwijk, running out 3-0 winners. Christian Santos opened the scoring in the first half before Marcel Ritzmaier and Mohamed Rayhi sealed the win.
Willem II cruised into the third round with a 3-0 win over DOVO. Robbie Haemhouts netted twice before Lesley de Sa added the third.
Goals from Nacer Barazite and Rubio Rubin saw Utrecht beat ONS Sneek 2-0.
Henk Veerman netted a late winner for Heerenveen as they saw off NAC 1-0 in Breda. The attacker brilliantly lobbed the ball over the NAC goalkeeper on 82 minutes before the home side were reduced to ten men after Michael Dinsdag was shown a straight red card.
Almere City comfortably beat EVV 3-0 thanks to goals from Ricardo Kip, Sven Braken and Boldewijn
Sparta Rotterdam needed an extra time winner from Giovanni Hiwat to see of nine-man OJC. Jelle Scholts gave the amateur side an early lead with a free kick before goals from Finn Stokkers and Thomas Verhaar put Sparta in front at the break. OJC then shocked the Rotterdam club by netting two quick fire goals through Rene Geerts and Jaoud Chrao, and they seemed to be heading for a famous win until Scholts was sent off and Verhaar sent the game into extra time. Hiwat eventually scored the winner before OJC were reduced to nine men.
FC Emmen are safely into the next round after a 3-2 win at amateur side AFC Amsterdam. The Eerste Divisie side raced into a 2-0 lead through Marcel Siep and Gyasi before the home side pulled one back through a free kick. Jens Jurn Streutker made it 3-1 for Emmen, and although AFC pulled another goal back before the end they could not force the game into extra time.
Dordrecht proved too strong for amateur side SC Feyenoord in Rotterdam with Chacon and Janga scoring in a 2-0 win.
Telstar avoided a shock exit as they saw off SVV Scheveningen on penalties after the match finished 0-0.
Amateur side Capelle caused one of the shocks of the night after coming from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with MVV Maastricht before knocking the Eerste Divisie side out on penalties.
