FC Lienden 1-4 AZ Alkmaar
FC Lienden threatened a shock but three late goals ensured AZ reached the next round. Maumer Tankovic put AZ ahead in the first half but Mo Bendadi equalised for the amateur side on 65 minutes. It didn’t take long for AZ to regain their lead though with Illias Bel Hassani netting a quick fire double to make it 3-1 before Robert Muhren added a fourth late on.
NEC 1-1 (p) ADO Den Haag
ADO Den Haag are into the next round after seeing off fellow Eredivisie side NEC on penalties. The match finished 0-0 in regular time but NEC took the lead from the penalty spot in extra time through Gregor Breinburg before Gervane Kastaneer took the game to penalties with a late equaliser. ADO Den Haag netted a perfect five from the spot in the shoot out, while Fomitschow missed for NEC.
Sparta Rotterdam 3-1 Dordrecht
Three goals in the first half saw Sparta Rotterdam ease into the second round. Dijkstra opened the scoring before a Thomas Verhaar strike and a Kramer OG put the home side in control before the break. Daniels pulled one back for Dordrecht just after the hour and although Verhaar was sent off the hosts held on comfortably.
DVS 1-4 PEC Zwolle
PEC Zwolle’s league form may be terrible but they eased into the next round of the cup. It was 3-0 before the break thanks to goals from Brock-Madsen, Bram van Polen (penalty) and Anass Achahbar. Brock-Madsen scored his second just before the hour mark before Kay Velda netted a late consolation for the hosts.
Excelsior Maassluis 1-3 Heracles (AET)
Heracles needed extra time to see off Excelsior Maassluis after Daan Smith netted a late equaliser to cancel out Vincent Vermeij’s opener. Vermeij netted his second in the second half of extra time before Brandley Kuwas sealed victory in injury time.
