Jansma, who was the KNVB press reporter between 2004 and 2014, spoke on Fox Sports programme De Tafel van Kees and revealed that the KNVB currently have two options for new Oranje boss. They are speaking with former Bayer Leverkusen boss Roger Schmidt and Ruud Gullit, who would form a partnership with Henk ten Cate.
The Dutch FA are searching for a successor to Danny Blind, who was sacked last month after the defeat to Bulgaria which left Netherlands chances of qualifying for next years World Cup looking slim. They want a new coach to be in place when they face Morocco at the end of May, but first choice Louis van Gaal appears to have no appetite for the job.
Schmidt is known for his attacking style, but the 50-year-old German was sacked by Bayer Leverkusen earlier this season. Gullit has been out of coaching since leaving Terek Grozny in 2011 but he has spoken openly about wanting the Oranje job. Henk ten Cate is currently in charge of Al Jazira.
Ten Cate and Gullit may make a good team! Van Gaal will be running it none the less.
