Ronald Koeman has reportedly told four Barcelona players that they can depart the club.

Koeman was appointed the new Barcelona boss last week and has been tasked with breathing new life into their squad.

According to the Spanish press including Marca, AS, and SPORT, Koeman phoned Luis Suarez on Monday to tell him he had no future at the club. The forward may have his contracted terminated so he can depart on a free transfer.

Koeman has also told midfielders Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal, and defender Samuel Umtiti that they also have no future at the Nou Camp.

Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Phillipe Coutinho will all get the chance to impress Koeman during pre-season before a decision is made on their future.

Barcelona are short of funds for transfers this summer and Koeman needs to sell in order to raise money. He has been linked with moves for Donny van de Beek, Georginio Wijnaldum, Memphis Depay and Calvin Stengs in the press.
