Robben announced his retirement from national team duties after Netherlands failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Speaking at his press conference on Monday, new Oranje boss Ronald Koeman stated that he was looking for the next generation of youngsters to step up.

He said, “There are more players who have the qualities for this. There are young players and it is always wait and see if they can take the right steps. Who? Boys like Justin Kluivert, Guus Til, Steven Bergwijn and Jürgen Locadia. But the team is the most important, because Arjen Robbens is not there at the moment. ”

Koeman was then asked about Justin Kluivert, who makes his debut in the squad, he said, “He is one of those guys I want to have with me, whom I would like to see for a week. Whether I’m happy with Justin? I think he is even happier with me. If you are eighteen years old and called, that is quite special. He also radiated that and that is how it should be. I am proud to be here, but the players must also be proud to be called. “
