According to the Catalan newspaper, Koeman will switch from the regular 4-3-3 to play a 4-2-3-1 next season.
Koeman wants to recreate the system that worked for him with the Dutch national team and use a “double six” next season.
De Jong will play the role of pivot that picks up the ball from the centre-backs and moves the play forward. It is the role that De Jong excelled in for Ajax and the Netherlands.
De Jong will be supported in the role by either Sergio Busquets or new signing Miralem Pjanic.
Koeman takes charge of his first training session in Barcelona next Monday along with assistants Alfred Schreuder and Henrik Larsson. They intend to work on their new tactic to have it ready for the new campaign.

I’m rooting for good things for them!
I don’t think what is good and success for ajax or Holland NT will be good and a success for Barca. Koeman should adapt an unique playing system fit and custom for Barca. Barca will be more predictable for any teams against them should this happen.
