Koeman was reportedly approached to succeed the dismissed Slavs Bilic at West Ham and considered the offer before declining. Another unnamed Premier League side has also made an approach, but Koeman said no.

According to his management, Koeman, who was sacked by Everton last month, wants a rest period before carefully picking his next position. He has been heavily linked with the vacant Netherlands national team post, but contact has not yet been made by the KNVB.

West Ham eventually turned to David Moyes, who was confirmed as their new head coach last week.
