Monaco signed the versatile defender from Feyenoord for €15 million in the summer, but Kongolo has only four appearances so far.

According to L’Equipe, coach Leonardo Jardim wants to work with a smaller squad, meaning Kongolo along with Rachid Ghezzal, Adama Diakhaby and Soualiho Meïte could be heading out in January.

Any deal for Kongolo is not expected to be a permanent one, though, with a loan preferred.
