The 37-year-old retired after guiding Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title last season and has since acted as an assistant coach with Quick Boys, where he started his career as a player.

Earlier this week it was announced that Kuyt will take charge of Feyenoord’s U19 side from next season, but the veteran is to put his boots back on until this summer.

According to Omroep West, Kuyt has agreed to help Quick Boys in their quest to be promoted to the Second Division after they suffered a striker shortage. Kuyt has been training with the club’s selection for the past two weeks and will be available for selection until the end of the campaign.
