Dirk Kuyt has decided to leave Feyenoord and work on his coaching career elsewhere.

Kuyt retired in 2017 and has since been working as a youth coach within the club. He was also in the picture to become head coach at one point, but Frank Arnesen turned to Arne Slot instead.

Kuyt has now announced that he will leave Feyenoord and will work on his coaching career elsewhere.

He told the club’s website, “Everyone knows what Feyenoord means to me and I have been able to gain a lot of experience at the club in recent years. I know that our paths will cross again one day, but for now I think it is important to continue my path elsewhere. I follow my feelings in that.”
