Fortuna Sittard are still looking for their first win of the campaign after being held to a 2-2 draw by PEC Zwolle.

Both sides went into the game in need of a victory. Fortuna Sittard were bottom with only two points, while after their 5-1 loss to Twente last week, PEC Zwolle boss John Stegeman was asked to resign. However, he remained on the bench for the clash in Limburg.

After six minutes, Fortuna Sittard opened the scoring with Emil Hansson firing a lovely strike into the net after being played through by Zian Flemming.

The lead lasted until the 33rd minute when Jaroslaw Jach headed the ball into his own net to hand PEC Zwolle the equaliser.

George Cox, who scored twice against Ajax last weekend, restored Fortuna’s lead before the break with an excellent first-time strike.

In the 54th minute, Thomas Lam equalised with a sensational free-kick and that proved to be the final goal of the game.

Fortuna Sittard remains bottom of the table, while PEC Zwolle are 11th.
