Noa Lang spoke of his delight after assisting the winning goal on his Eredivisie debut for Ajax.

With Ajax drawing 1-1 at home to PEC Zwolle, Erik ten Hag turned to 19-year-old midfielder Noa Lang. Moments after coming on for his Eredivisie debut he sent a perfect cross to the back post for Daley Blind to nod in the winning goal.

Speaking to Ajax TV, Lang said, “It feels like I’m dreaming. It’s a dream to come in and be decisive right away, fantastic. I got the ball and when I get it I look for the chip-ball at the back post. It hit the head perfectly of Daley. He nodded it in. I thought: Jesus. As if I were dreaming, I was going crazy.”

On what his instructions were from Ten Hag, Lang said, “The assignment? I had to stand at ten, behind the striker. I had to try to be decisive. Fortunately I did. I am stubborn, but I listened very well today, haha.”
