In the Spanish press in recent weeks, Memphis Depay and Frenkie de Jong have both been put forward as players that Barcelona could look to sell this summer as they look to bring in fresh players and challenge for the title next season.
Speaking to Catalunya Radio, Barcelona president Joan Laporta admitted that Barcelona may have to make some painful sales this summer in order to challenge for the La Liga and Champions League next season.
He said, “I don’t know if there will be painful sales. Our priority is the economic situation of the club.”
De Jong is being heavily linked to Manchester United and Laporta would not rule out the Dutchman leaving, “Frenkie de Jong? There are Barcelona players who are always talked about in the market. We’re going to do what’s best for the club. Once the financial resources we want to activate have been tapped, there is no economic need to sell.”
Barcelona does not deserve a player like Frenkie they always take the blame on him while their team is totally a disaster and now they even compare him to gavi and pedri while he is miles better than them even he is playing out of position but still perform in more advanced role and even cover on the turtle busquets he is in every part of the pitch and in the end they see him not the same player as he was at Ajax but they must confess that he is the same and even developed but their team is way weaker than 2019 Ajax team
the same case for depay who is also better than ferran torres who is missing goals for fun and when depay take his chances he always do well and score
both players are victims of prefering spanish players over the others they deserve a better and stable club where they can do their best
