Roda JC struck late to defeat PEC Zwolle 3-2 and keep their chances of survival alive.

Roda JC went into the game with renewed confidence after their win at NAC Breda last weekend and they raced into a two-goal lead within the first seven minutes. Simon Gustafson played a leading role, firstly setting up Donis Avdijaj for the opener before tapping in the second from close range.

In the 23rd minute, Avdijaj thought he had made it 3-0 but his goal was disallowed for offside. Moments later, PEC Zwolle went down the other end and Younes Namli pulled one back with a strike that caught out Hidde Jurjus.

In the second half, PEC Zwolle drove forward looking for an equaliser which eventually came in the 85th minute through Queensy Menig, who seemed to have earned his side a point. However, two minutes later, Mikhail Rosheuvel netted a winner for Roda JC.

The victory keeps Roda JC in 16th place and they are three points from safety. PEC Zwolle are sixth.
