Leeds United have announced the signing of Excelsior winger Jordan Botaka on a two-year-deal.

Jordan Botaka of Excelsiorevent:1074A deal was struck between the two sides at the weekend, with Botaka playing his final game for the club in the 3-0 win over De Graafschap on Saturday. Botaka then flew to England and signed his two-year contract on Monday.

The 22-year-old told the Official Leeds United website, “I am very happy, it happened very fast. In two or three days everything was arranged, it was just crazy.”

“I knew Leeds were a big club. I looked a few things up and I heard from other people. This is a new adventure for me.”

The winger signed for Excelsior from Club Brugge in 2013, and went on to make 69 league appearances for the Rotterdam side, scoring 11 goals. Botaka has four caps for the Congolese national team.
