According to De Gelderlander, NEC Nijmegen have accepted an offer from Leeds United for striker Jay-Roy Grot.

The 19-year-old was missing from the NEC training ground on Wednesday as he travels to England to undergo a medical and sign a multi-year contract with Leeds United. The fee agreed with the Championship club is still unknown.

Grot has made 35 appearances for NEC’s first team, netting six times. He has a contract in Nijmegen until 2018, but their relegation to the Eerste Divisie last season meant a departure for the young striker was always likely.

Grot also has six caps for the Dutch U19 side.
