The Polish forward looked visibly angry several times during the 4-0 win over Stuttgart at the weekend after Robben overlooked him in favourable positions.
Bild, who are reporting that Lewandowski and Robben don’t speak off the pitch, state that the striker is furious with the Dutchman’s “Selfish” play. They also point out that Robben has provided the least assists to Lewnadowski out of Bayern Munich’s wingers.
When they asked Lewandowski for comments after the game, Lewandowski raged, “I don’t want to say anything… You have seen it already for yourself”
However sporting director Matthias Sammer doesn’t see any issue, “If a player gets angry on the field, then I have no problem with that. Do you know how many times I became angry during my career on a teammate?”
Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola also took a light tone with the issue, stating with a wink, “That’s Arjen Robben. I am a good coach, but not good enough to change the mentality of a 31-year-old Robben. “
