Frank de Boer’s Atlanta United lost 2-0 at DC United in their opening game of the MLS season.

The reigning MLS Cup winners were poor from the start and eventually fell 1-0 down on the stroke of half-time through Paul Arnola.

Atlanta United failed to improve after the break and DC United sealed the victory in the 58th minute after goalkeeper Brad Guzan let in a tame effort from Luciano Acosta.

A poor start to the season for De Boer, who has won only one of his three games in charge so far.
