Speaking to Goal.com, Luckassen stated that he is hoping to develop further next season, but does not believe he will be at AZ.

He said, “I want to play every game next season and develop myself. But I do not think I will stay at AZ,”

On the reported PSV interest, Luckassen is hopeful, “If PSV are interested, you can not say no. It’s a very strong team that are also playing in the Champions League,”

Luckassen is currently a member of the Netherlands U21 squad, but has not yet made his mind up on his international future. The defender could switch his allegiances to Ghana.

He added, “I have not thought about it, because Ghana has not approached me. If Ghana call me or Netherlands for their first team, then I’ll think about it. For now I’m happy to play under 21 for the Netherlands.”
