St Pauli have appointed Jos Luhukay as their new head coach.

The 55-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by English Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in December.

Luhukay has now returned to Germany to take over at St Pauli, who fired Markus Kauczinski recently.

The Dutchman has plenty of experience in Germany having previously coached VfB Stuttgart, Hertha BSC, Borussia Mönchengladbach, FC Augsburg and SC Paderborn among others.

St Pauli currently sit 6th in the Bundesliga.2 table and still have a chance of achieving promotion. Luhukay will join fellow countrymen Henk Veerman and Justin Hoogma at the club.
