RTL Boulevard visited Suarez at the launch of his new clothing range and the Uruguayan striker spoke of his fondness for Netherlands, “Yes, I miss the Netherlands.
“When you start to play in Europe, it is the best country to live in. The people there are ongelooflijk (Incredible), as you say. They helped me and Amsterdam is a very nice city. ”
Asked if he still wants to return to Ajax in the future, Suarez responded, “You never know what’ll happen in football, but should I return to Ajax I want to be of added value to the team, not 35 or 36.”
Suarez spent a year with Groningen before joining Ajax in 2007. In four years with the Amsterdam club, Suarez netted 111 times before joining Liverpool in 2011 and then Barcelona in 2014.
