Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk de Jong has once again spoke of his frustration at the lack of first team action with the Bundesliga club.

de jong luThe Bundesliga returned on Friday with Gladbach losing 2-0 to Bayern Munich, and once again De Jong was forced to watch the action from the bench.

De Jong has only featured from the bench for Lucien Favre’s side this season, and his total minutes on the pitch have only been 95. In these minutes the ex-Twente striker is yet to score a single goal, or even have a shot on target.

Newcastle United have been heavily linked with a move for the 24-year-old, and English media claim they want the deal done by Tuesday.

However speaking to Goal, De Jong claimed that although their is interest from a number of clubs, there is yet to be a concrete offer.

De Jong added, “I still have a week. I just want to play football again. Preferably at Mönchengladbach. If not, then maybe somewhere else.
