Rob Maas has confirmed that he will not be in charge of Vitesse next season.

maas viteMaas took charge of the club in January when Peter Bosz left for Maccabi Tel Aviv, but the inexperienced coach has struggled and a draw with Twente on Sunday meant Vitesse finished ninth and out of the European play-offs.

In his post match press conference, Maas confirmed that he will be stepping down as head coach.

He said, “The objective was to reach the playoffs. If you do not get that, you need to take stock. We have jointly decided that I will not be head coach next season.”
