According to The Athletic, Manchester United has intensified talks with Ajax to sign Lisandro Martinez.

Arsenal have already had two bids for Martinez rejected by Ajax with the second reportedly around €40 million.
Ajax doesn’t want to sell the centre-back and have slapped a price tag of at least €50 million on his head. However, The Athletic is reporting that Manchester United are set to increase talks with Ajax as they look to reunite the Argentine with Erik ten Hag.
Manchester United are now believed to be the frontrunners to sign the versatile defender, while they are also set to seal the signing of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord this weekend. Talks over the signing of Frenkie de Jong are continuing.
