The British newspaper is reporting that the midfielder, who they rate at £4 million, has attracted the attention of Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid after starring in the first team for Heerenveen so far this season.
Ajax are still the favourites to sign the Netherlands U21 international, after being heavily linked with a move after selling Daley Blind to Manchester United in August. Ajax failed to make an offer, but Sinkgraven confirmed they had been in contact with his agent.
Sinkgraven told Fox Sports in August, “Its a great compliment that Ajax are interested. They have made themselves known to my agent. I don’t know if there will be a follow up.”
The Mirror states that both Liverpool and Manchester United see Sinkgraven as a player for the future, but a move to Ajax would allow the talented box-to-box midfielder to continue to mature with first team football. Sinkgraven only needs to look at Marco van Ginkel’s development to see what can happen when a move abroad comes too soon.
So far this season, Sinkgraven, who still has three years left on his contract in Friesland, has made nine appearances in the Heerenveen, scoring twice, including the winner over PSV Eindhoven last month.
