Soon to be Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was spotted meeting the club’s director of football Txiki Begiristain in Amsterdam, and reports are suggesting the duo could be discussing the possible signing of two Dutchmen.
De Telegraaf stated on Tuesday morning that Ajax’s 19-year-old wonder-kid Riechedly Bazoer and left back Jetro Willems of PSV, were mentioned in the meeting.
Bazoer has gained a list of admirers this season, having already rejected a move to Napoli in January. Chelsea, and Barcelona have been heavily linked with the midfielder, but Guardiola may be hoping to pip both clubs to sign the youngster.
Willems has also been linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, ever since making his debut for PSV at 17. The now 21-year-old is now one of the most influential players in the Eredivisie, and a regular member for the Dutch national side.
