According to Voetbal International Manchester United scouted PSV Eindhoven right back Santiago Arias last weekend.

Last month, English newspaper the Daily Star reported that the Premier League club were due to make a £8 million bid for the Colombian right back. Now VI are reporting that scouts from Manchester were present at the Abe Lenstra Stadion on Saturday to watch Arias face Heerenveen.
Whether the scouts were impressed with Arias’s performance in the 3-0 defeat is not known, but United boss David Moyes is said to be a big fan of the 22-year-old.
PSV Eindhoven signed Arias from Sporting Lisbon for €675,ooo in the summer, and despite a disappointing start to the season, the defender has improved to become one of the key men in Phillip Cocu’s side.
In 19 league games, Arias has netted one goal, while he is expected to be part of Colombia’s World Cup squad this summer after making his international debut in September.
