0 depay titeheeWith PSV wrapping up the Eredivisie title on Saturday the scramble to sign 21-year-old Memphis Depay has begun with Liverpool, Manchester United, and PSG all contacting the Eindhoven club over the winger.

However the trio have been warned by Toon Gerbrands that they will first have to convince Depay to join them, and then agree to PSV’s asking price which will be over €25 million. The fee could even be higher than the Dutch record of €30.5 that Manchester United paid PSV for Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Gerbrands told NU.nl, “We have given an indication of the price for Depay, which is probably more than €25m”

“Therefore we can have no quibbles with Depay’s management.”

“Depay must first reach an agreement with a club and if that club are willing to pay the transfer fee then he can leave quickly.”

De Telegraaf this morning reported Liverpool and PSG had been given permission to speak with Depay’s management, but whether they can agree a deal with the player himself and then PSV, with Manchester United still to pounce, remains to be seen.
