Manchester United has confirmed the signing of Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez.

Ajax will receive a fixed fee of €57.37 million for the Argentinian but Manchester United may also have to pay an extra €10 million through bonuses.
The 24-year-old joined Ajax in 2019 for €7 million and he went on to make 118 appearances for the Amsterdam side. He won two national titles and one KNVB Cup.
Martinez joins up with Erik ten Hag and becomes the third player with Eredivisie experience to join Manchester United after Christian Eriksen and Tyrell Malacia.
Ajax are set to sign Calvin Bassey from Rangers as a replacement.
