The Ajax boss has come under criticism over the past few weeks with the club dropping points against both ADO Den Haag and Vitesse.

Keizer said, “I would much prefer things to be going well and that people would be speaking positively about Ajax but when you have only 10 points from the first 6 Eredivisie games it’s logical to expect criticism.

“I want us to improve and to be positive. We look forward to Sunday’s game in Friesland against SC Heerenveen and also to the season ahead.

“I expect us to beat SC Heerenveen on Sunday.”
