Keizer spoke about Ajax finishing the job at home and qualifying for the Champions League play-off round. It is currently 1-1 from the first leg.

He said, ”I believe our chances are 50- 50. It is great that we managed to score an away goal in Nice and we are playing at home in Amsterdam.

”In terms of fitness we are not yet entirely there but in terms of football quality we have a lot of power. I have also let the players know that as we are playing at home to be aware of the home supporter tributes to Appie Nouri.

”We must ensure that we are at our level in order to finish the job. We must be good in ball possession otherwise we have a problem.

”We have been training for 4 weeks now and it has been a difficult time in terms of Appie Nouri but we are coping well if you see how this team stands up to be counted and the way they work together with one another.”
