Steijn stated that he felt a draw was fair and that the club cherish every point they can get in their bid to remain in the Eredivisie this season.
He said, “We cherish every point we get and you have seen that we have picked up points playing against good opponents such as away against FC Groningen and Vitesse Arnhem and now at home to PEC Zwolle.
“I believe that we deserved a point today. We must also credit PEC Zwolle too they played well. But we also managed to fight our way back into the match. I believe on reflection with PEC Zwolle’s dominance in the first -half and how we performed in the second -half a draw is a fair result upon reflection.
“We want to achieve a lot this season but sometimes you have to be happy with a point.
“We now look ahead to Excelsior Rotterdam next weekend. We may be looked upon as favorites due to our league position but we must also be realistic we will be playing against an Excelsior Rotterdam team that have been in the Eredivisie for four years and they are a good side.”
