Memphis Depay led Lyon to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Nimes on Friday evening with two goals and an assist.

After losing to Lille earlier in the week, Lyon looked to bounce back against Nimes and their task was made easier by the fact the hosts were reduced to nine men in the first-half.

Memphis Depay opened the scoring with a cheeky panenka penalty and he added the second after the break with an excellent strike from distance. The Lyon captain then got an assist as the game finished 4-0.

The Dutch international now has 13 goals in 16 appearances in all competitions this season, which will put the 25-year-old in the view of some of Europe’s top clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur were recently linked with the forward, while Lyon are hoping to convince Memphis to sign a new long-term contract at the club.
