According to La Vanguardia, Barcelona are close to completing the signing of Memphis Depay from Lyon for €25 million.

The Spanish newspaper is certain that Memphis will follow Ronald Koeman to Barcelona, and believes the deal will be confirmed once the international period is over next week.
Memphis is in the final year of his contract with Lyon, and this means Barcelona can pick him up for a lower fee. La Vanguardia believes the fee will be €25 million.
Memphis is not the only Dutchman being rumoured with a move to Barcelona, with the club reportedly close to bringing in Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool too.

I am going to have to disagree with the 2 comments above.
Having watched Memphis play the last couple of years, its obvious to me that he is a phenomenal talent.
For those that have not had the pleasure of watching him play, just take a look at his stats.
It is definatley time for him to make the move to a top, top club. He is a top, top player.
Barcelona are lucky to have Koeman, and no, one or two (or even 3) Dutch players does not translate to “the Dutch national team. That being said, it looks like Koeman wishes to bring the same 2 or 3 Dutch players that are most responsible for Hollands recent triumphs (Nations league final and Euro qualifying).
If I was a Barcelona supporter, I would be very excited to hear my club being linked with these players.
As a supporter of the Oranje, I am thrilled at the prospect of Memphis (and possibly Wijnaldum) playing club football with de Jong at Barcelona. Hope these deals become a reality!

Koeman is obsessed with his national team players…. Depay was never a name we all expect but let’s see if the team he’s assembling can bring smtin to the table.. Let’s not be in a rush t conclude… But selling suatex n Vidal is a good step…
Koeman on his decision to sell Suarez and Vidal is the best decision he has made so far. I’m really sceptical about depay coming to Barcelona because he isn’t the type of player we need right now if the above said two are leaving. I mean look at his numbers, he has never been one to record above 20 goals a season or even have a serious amount of assist in a season so what are we bringing him in for? I’d rather bet my money on Ousmane Dembele and Fati than this guy who can be very evasive in big games. I think we should attempt bringing in Sancho and a finisher like Kane as a cushion for this transitional phase. Plus, has this guy taken a look at our defense? What’s he saying about that??
Koeman decision is always incorrect
25 million is a great price for a team that doesn’t have much money in the bank. I think most people who are talking on this thread are all guilty of playing too much FIFA. And to think that someone like Messi or Suarez are ageless. A rebuild with little money (my Barça’s standards) means injections of youth and players you know can play your system. Wijnaldum is a great choice. I tireless cog in the Klopp’s machine. Smart and tactical, precise! Depay is such a threat in the centre or on the wing and can play as a number 10. This is very important for Ajax, Dutch or Barça players. Let’s not forget how linked all of the above are. I think they will be fine!
