Memphis has only shown glimpses of his immense quality since joining the Premier League giants from PSV Eindhoven in the summer, and has spent the last few games rooted to the bench.
However, when arriving at the Netherlands national team hotel, Memphis spoke to De Telegraaf and stated that Oranje boss Danny Blind will give him confidence ahead of the upcoming friendlies with France and England.
Memphis said, “(for Netherlands) the coach gives me a lot of confidence and I’m very grateful for that. That’s important for young boys.
“The coach knows my qualities and know that I can come in handy at any World Cup.”
When asked if he feels the same confidence at Man Utd, Memphis responded, “Sometimes.
“There are people inside the club with whom I talk about this. Also with the coach (Louis van Gaal). Furthermore, I do not want to lose it. My focus now lies with the Dutch team. Two good matches are coming and I am really happy that I can be in there.”
