Memphis Depay has been given permission to join the Dutch national team on Monday.

The coronavirus measures in France require that anyone who has left the EU must first enter quarantine when they return to the country. That would mean that Memphis would not be able to play for Lyon in the first round after the international break.

However, FIFA has been in talks with France over special rules for players and that has been given the green light, meaning Memphis can join up with the Netherlands squad on Monday.

Frank de Boer will be relieved that he can have his main striker for the clash against Turkey on Wednesday.
