Memphis Depay capped his 50th international appearance for Netherlands with a goal and two assists in a 4-0 victory over Estonia on Monday evening.

The forward has been in excellent form for Netherlands since Ronald Koeman took over and on Monday he was once again the star player for Oranje.

On his 50th appearance for the national team, Memphis provided two assists and scored an excellent goal as Netherlands eased to a 4-0 victory over Estonia.

After the game, Memphis told NOS, “I’m super proud of it. I aim for a goal or assist in every match, but you want to leave your mark on a fiftieth match. It was difficult, but in the end I thought I was important.

“It was difficult in the first half. Perhaps I wanted too much, the spaces were very small. As a striker I had to keep it deep, but sometimes it gets itchy if you don’t touch the ball for a few minutes.”

In 50 internationals, Memphis has provided 17 goals and 17 assists.
