The 26-year-old was third top scorer in the Eredivisie last season after netting 17 goals, and attracted interest from the likes of Feyenoord and English side Charlton Athletic. However the Dutchman has opted for a lucrative move to the UAE, and will sign a three-year-deal with Baniyas FC on Saturday.
Speaking to Voetbal International, Kramer said, “It is a very financially lucrative adventure,”
“I must provide for my family. At my age you do not get this kind of opportunity often. Moreover, the adventure attracts me. Abu Dhabi is a short drive from Dubai and is very westernized.”
“I am very much looking forward to it and to see what’s coming at me. Tomorrow begins the new adventure. “
