milik ajaexcThe Polish international is rumoured to be a target of Juventus, Napoli and clubs in the Premier League such as Everton, but in a statement, Ajax confirmed that Milik will be going nowhere this summer.

The statement read, “Ajax and Arek Milik have reached a mutual agreement that during the current transfer window, the striker will not transfer to another club.

“The Ajax technical team and coach Peter Bosz attach great importance to maintaining the club’s top goalscorer of last season.

“The Polish international has an ongoing contract with Ajax until July 1, 2019, but is clearly in the interest of several foreign clubs.”

“Milik, who is still away on holiday after Euro 2016, will return to Amsterdam on July 22.”

Milik initially joined Ajax on loan from Bayer Leverkusen before making the move permanent last summer. In 75 appearances the 22-year-old has netted 47 times.
