Willem II were the surprise package of the season finishing 9th and Dijks was influential throughout, starting in 28 league matches.

But he has signed a three year contract with the Eredivisie runners-up where will expect more game time than the 6 appearances he was offered in his previous spell at the club.

As part of the deal, Ruben Ligeon, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Willem II’s rivals NAC Breda, will go the other way, joining Jurgen Streppel’s side on a season long loan.
