According to BN DeStem, AS Monaco have agreed a fee with NAC Breda for centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke.

The 20-year-old has broken into the NAC Breda first-team and is being followed by nearly every club in the Eredivisie.

However, Monaco have agreed a fee of €2 million with van Hecke and appear to have won the race to sign the talented defender.

Although, Van Hecke may then be loaned out by the Ligue 1 side, with Utrecht a possible option, along with Belgian side Cercle Brugge, who have a partnership with Monaco. Utrecht appear to be the favourites with Van Hecke keen to play in the Eredivisie.
