NAC Breda took a big step to guaranteeing their Eredivisie status after a 1-0 win over struggling Vitesse Arnhem.

The home side dominated from the start with striker Sadiq Umar firing two good chances off target, while Rai Vloet had a penalty appeal turned down.
After 35 minutes, NAC had the goal they deserved as AngeliƱo’s free-kick took a deflection before flying past Jeroen Houwen in the Vitesse goal.
In the second half, NAC were still the better side but Vitesse got chances to find the equaliser, with Mason Mount coming closest with a strike that hit the post.
The home side held on for the victory which moves them to 14th and four points above the drop zone with four matches still to play. Vitesse are 7th.
