Te Vrede has been a free agent since having his contract with Turkish side Boluspor dissolved three months ago.

Before moving to Turkey, Te Vrede had represented AZ, Excelsior, Feyenoord and then Heerenveen, where scored ten goals in 28 league games.

Te Vrede signed a one-and-a-half year contract with NAC Breda on Friday, and told the club’s website, “I’m glad I signed up at this beautiful club, I signed for a year and a half and am very motivated to show myself again.” Last year abroad was not easy, but in Breda I want to find the fun again and perform. “
